Pompeu Fabra University was founded in 1990 by the Catalan government, named after the famous linguist Pompeu Fabra, best known for it’s modern reform of the Catalan language and being one it’s most prolific writers during the recovery process the Catalan language underwent during the second half of the nineteenth century.
Much like it’s namesake the institution works as a cultural institute for the conservation and propagation of Catalan Language, with a focus on the areas of humanities, life sciences and communication sciences, the institution offers courses in Spanish, English and Catalan and through it’s continued efforts has grown to be a notorious presence in the country, being designated as a campus of international excellence by the ministry of education, and being accredited internationally as well.

Admissions at Pompeu Fabra University are a relatively simple endeavor, it’s application guidelines are the basic set imposed by the EU conventions, as such pretty much any student who has finished high-school and can prove it as well as prove their proficiency in the language of their desired course can apply and get enrolled without much fuss.
